Founder and CEO
Ron is a bond market veteran and CFA charterholder with over 34 years of investment experience covering a wide variety of fixed income instruments. He enjoyed a successful 21 year career at Janus Capital Group, rising from a young analyst to a seasoned portfolio manager overseeing $2.5 billion in mutual fund and private account assets. His flagship fund, Janus Flexible Income fund, achieved a lifetime ranking in the top decile of all Flexible Income Funds ranked by Lipper Analytical.
After moving to the mountains to enjoy a more rural lifestyle in 2007, he founded Equus to focus exclusively on the Colorado and California Municipal markets. Ron identified a unique and under-researched market segment that allows Equus to bring value to its high-net-worth clients.
Ron lives on a gentleman's ranch with his wife, twin boys, two horses, two dogs, two cats, and six chickens.
